Comedian Andy Dick was revived with Narcan on a Hollywood street Tuesday after appearing to suffer a drug overdose, according to images published by TMZ.
The 59-year-old was found slumped unconscious on a concrete staircase outside a building, unresponsive as friends tried to hold him upright. His glasses lay on the ground as people around him shouted for him to “wake up” and called emergency services.
Bystanders administered a dose of Narcan, which Dick responded to before firefighters and police arrived. He declined further medical treatment and refused to be taken to a hospital, telling TMZ only that he was “alive and OK”.
Dick, whose legal troubles have mounted in recent years, was convicted of sexual battery in 2022 for groping an Uber driver and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, along with being ordered to register as a sex offender.
He was later arrested for public intoxication and failing to register, and had also faced — and subsequently saw dropped — felony sexual battery charges in 2022 following an accusation from a man who alleged he was assaulted while asleep.
