A key feature is RAM Boost, rather an extended RAM, which uses the phone’s internal storage as virtual memory. Both the Moto G and G Play will come with 12GB of physical RAM plus up to 12GB of RAM Boost.

Moto G

The Moto G features a 50MP sensor, utilising Quad Pixel technology to combine 4 pixels into 1, resulting in an effective photo resolution of 12MP. This innovative approach improves low-light performance and overall image quality. Additionally, the rapid charging capabilities allow for quick power restoration, enabling users to stay connected throughout the day without interruption. It supports a maximum of 30W TurboPower charging.

Moto G Play

The Moto G Play features a 32MP sensor, which also employs Quad Pixel technology to produce an effective resolution of 8MP, and supports up to 18W TurboPower charging. For both models, chargers may be sold separately, and TurboPower charging requires a Motorola TurboPower charger, with the charging rate decreasing as the battery approaches full capacity.

Lastly, both phones are water and dust-resistant to IP52 standards, meaning they are designed to withstand moderate exposure to dripping water, such as light rain or splashes.
