Google AI Plus plan debuts in India with 200GB storage and Gemini 3 access, starts at Rs 199 | Technology News

Google has been aggressively pushing into the AI race, bundling its Gemini subscription with cloud storage. Google One plans already offer strong value with extra storage, unlimited high-quality photo uploads, and a wide range of image and video editing tools. In India, however, only the Google AI Premium plan that offers access to Gemini 3 Pro costs Rs 1,950 per month, which wasn’t exactly attracting the masses. To address this, the company has now introduced a more affordable option: the Google AI Plus plan.

Priced at Rs 399 per month, the pocket-friendly AI Plus plan includes increased limits for Gemini 3 Pro, the company’s most intelligent model yet. To give you a quick recap, the tech giant says the new AI model is more capable at coding and reasoning through complex queries. The large language model can also understand both visual and spatial information. For example, it can translate handwritten recipes in different languages into a shareable cookbook.

You also get access to the popular image editing tool – Nano Banana Pro, and 200 monthly AI credits for Flow and Whisk. Google advertises Flow as its AI-powered filmmaking tool, powered by Veo 3.1 video mode, while Whisk brings image-to-video capabilities using Veo 3. Those using NotebookLM get expanded access to the AI research companion.

Google says Gemini will also be available in other services like Gmail and Docs. The Google AI Plus comes with 200GB of storage across Photos, Drive and Gmail and lets you share all of these benefits with up to five family members.

While the Google AI Plus plan is priced at Rs 399 per month, the tech giant says new subscribers can get it for Rs 199 for the first six months.
