Flipkart Republic Day sale from January 17; iPhone 17 drops below Rs 75,000 | Technology News

Flipkart has confirmed that its Republic Day Sale 2026 will begin in India on January 17. Early bird deals are currently available on the platform. Before the big sale, the online retailer had offered enticing discounts on several popular products, including Apple’s most recent iPhone 17.

As part of the early deals, the iPhone 17 is currently offered on Flipkart for an effective price of Rs 74,990. This pricing includes a direct discount, exchange benefits, and certain bank offers are still available at the discounted price. The phone is available in four colourways: lavender, mist blue, sage green, white, or black.

Flipkart Plus and Black members will have 24-hour early access to the Republic Day Sale 2026, which officially starts on January 17. Customers who use HDFC Bank credit cards can also benefit from easy EMI options and an instant 10% discount.

The reduced price is a substantial drop from the iPhone 17’s initial launch price of Rs. 82,900 for the base 256GB storage option. Apple introduced the iPhone 17 in India and other countries in September 2025.

Specs

With a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, the iPhone 17 boasts a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display. Apple’s A19 processor and a 16-core neural engine power the iPhone 17. Apple claims that the processor outperforms its predecessor by about 40 per cent. A 48-megapixel main sensor and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera make up the smartphone’s dual back camera system. It has an 18-megapixel Centre Stage camera on the front, much like the Pro versions.
