Dyson launches Airstrait hair straightener in new ceramic pink and rose gold | Technology News

Dyson has introduced a ceramic pink and rose gold colour option for its Airstrait hair styling tool in the Indian market, ahead of the holiday season. The straightener in the new colourway features a soft pink body complemented by metallic deep plum and rose accents.

Dyson’s Colour, Materials, and Finish (CMF) team developed the palette, drawing inspiration from the visual qualities of a pearl. The product is finished with an ultra-matte, satin texture intended to improve user grip and handling.

Amelia Ayerst, CMF Design Manager at Dyson, commented on the new colour option, stating, “Pale pink was chosen for this edition to add a touch of elegance and warmth, directly embodying the inspiration behind it: the pearl. By incorporating pale pink, we aim to create a sense of softness and sophistication, enhancing the styling experience.”

The Dyson Airstrait straightener in ceramic pink and rose gold is priced at Rs 29,900. It is currently available for purchase at Dyson Stores across India and on the company’s official website, Dyson.in.

A wet-to-dry hair styling tool

The Dyson Airstrait straightener is a wet-to-dry hair styling tool that operates using high-pressure air rather than traditional heated plates. This design allows the tool to dry and straighten hair simultaneously, streamlining the styling process. The Airstrait is designed to style hair quickly and efficiently while avoiding heat damage, helping to maintain the hair’s natural shine, according to Dyson.

Dyson previously launched two new air purifiers, the Purifier Hot+Cool HP2 De-NOx (HP12) and the HP1, to tackle increased pollution levels in Indian cities this winter. Both devices feature advanced sensing, filtration, and airflow technologies, capturing pollutants such as nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) and particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10). The HP2 De-NOx model boasts a new K-Carbon filter, capturing 50 per cent more nitrogen dioxide, with both purifiers claiming to trap 99.95 per cent of particles as small as 0.1 microns.

Both purifiers utilise Dyson’s Air Multiplier technology for efficient air projection and can be controlled via the MyDyson app or through voice commands. The HP2 is priced at Rs 68,900, while the HP1 costs Rs 56,900.
