Fans have been very excited to witness the world of Geetu Mohandas’ Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups. The Yash starrer has been further piquing their excitement by unveiling character posters of the cast. A few days back, Huma Qureshi’s look from the film was quite lauded, and on Wednesday, the makers released a poster featuring Nayanthara. The actress who will be playing Ganga in the film is seen wearing a black slit gown and long boots as she holds a gun in her hand.
Reacting to Nayanthara’s look, a fan wrote on Instagram, “CEO of Indian Cinema.” Another user commented, “Waiting for boss.” A third fan said, “Lady Superstar Nayanthara as Ganga, couldn’t get any bigger and better. One of the internet users also pointed out how every update about the film Toxic feels like a festival. One of the fans on X wrote, “A Gangster film with such a powerful role after a long time, Nayanthara as Ganga.” Another fan said, “Fairy tale for grown-ups?? Finally, something intense & Honest. While the fans are excited to see The Rocking Star and The Lady Superstar share screenspace, a few are also concerned about Toxic’s clash with Dhurandhar 2 on Eid 2026. One of the users pointed out on X, “The conflict of date should be a point of concern. Toxic needs to move its date to get most of the box office.”
Recently, Toxic’s costume designer, Neha Bajaj, also spoke about styling for the film and said how every look is glamorous. She told Bollywood Hungama, “I’ve largely worked in realism, and this project sits at the opposite end—suave, stylish, and more cinematic. When I first met Geetu and presented my ideas, it felt personal. It’s more glamorous, more on-the-face. When I saw Yash in this world, the impression was instantly that of a suave, stylish gangster. That’s the intention—it’s meant to be a visual experience. Projects like this don’t come often in a costume designer’s life.”
