The Bengal Files Box Office Collection Day 2: Despite dominating headlines before its release, Vivek Agnihotri's latest filmThe Bengal Files, seems to have failed to attract audiences and is currently struggling at the box office.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the political thriller collected around Rs 1.75 crore on its opening day and earned Rs 2.25 crore on Day 2. With this, the two-day box office collection of The Bengal Files stands at Rs 3.79 crore.

On Day 2, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 29.91%, with morning shows at 15.11%, afternoon shows at 29.20%, evening shows at 35.08%, and night shows peaking at 40.23%.

The opening numbers of The Bengal Files fall significantly short compared to director Vivek Agnihotri’s previous blockbuster, The Kashmir Files. Released in 2022, The Kashmir Files had collected Rs 3.55 crore on Day 1 and went on to become one of the most talked-about hits in recent years.

The Bengal Files, Featuring a Powerful Ensemble Cast, Including Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Khar, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar, Simrat Kaur, Saswata Chatterjee, Saswata Chatterjee, Namashi Chakraborty, Rajesh Khera, Puneet Issar, Priyanshu Chatterjee, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Sourav Das, and Mohan Kapur, Released on September 5 to Poor Reviews.

The Indian Express film critic Shubhra Gupta gave the film 2 stars and wrote in her movie review, “It is no one’s case that turbulent history shouldn’t be examined and interrogated cinematically: art is nothing if it doesn’t provoke or challenge, but it is not art if it incites or inflames. It all comes down to the choices the film makes, in spot-lighting certain events and blanking others.”
