Every year, Shah Rukh Khan steps out of his iconic bungalow, Mannat, to greet a sea of fans who gather outside to catch a glimpse of him on his birthday. This year too, hundreds of fans waited patiently outside his residence, which is currently under construction, and by evening, the crowd had swelled massively. However, Shah Rukh later took to social media to announce that he wouldn’t be able to make a public appearance this time due to security concerns.
The actor shared the update on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Have been advised by authorities that I will not be able to step out and greet all you lovely people who have been waiting for me. My deepest apologies to all of you but have been informed that it is for the overall safety of everyone due to crowd control issues. Thank you for understanding and believe me… I will miss seeing you more than you will. Was looking forward to seeing you all and sharing love. Love u all…”

Since morning, visuals of police personnel managing and controlling the crowd outside Mannat have been circulating online, with fans arriving from across the country to celebrate their favourite star. For the unversed, additional floors are being added to Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic bungalow, due to which the actor and his family have temporarily moved out and are currently residing in a luxury apartment in Mumbai. However, fans had still expected Shah Rukh to return to Mannat to greet them.
The celebrations for his milestone 60th birthday began last night at his Alibaug property, where several Bollywood celebrities descended. Farah Khan shared a picture from the party to wish the actor, while Karan Johar also posted glimpses of the grand celebration.
As a special treat for his fans, Shah Rukh Khan unveiled the first-look teaser of his upcoming film King. The teaser shows him flaunting a striking blonde look as he returns to his high-octane action avatar, taking down enemies one after another. The tagline of the film promises a “new Shah Rukh Khan experience.” Sharing the title reveal video on social media, SRK wrote, “Sau deshon mein badnaam, Duniya ne diya sirf ek hi naam – #KING #KingTitleReveal It’s Showtime! In Cinemas 2026.”
Directed by Siddharth Anand, King is set to hit the screens in 2026. The film also stars Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan.
