Sanjay Dutt’s fan left him property worth Rs 150 crore, but he refused to accept it: ‘I returned it on the condition…’ | Bollywood News

Actor Sanjay Dutt opened up about the bizarre incident where a fan of his left him property worth Rs 150 crore in 2018, after she died of a terminal illness. In an appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show, the actor said that there are ‘all kinds of fans’ in the world, and that his fan encounter was stranger than fiction. Asked about the incident by host Kapil Sharma, Sanjay Dutt admitted that it happened, but said that he didn’t accept any of the property as he wasn’t the rightful heir.

Recalling the incident, he said, “I got a call from the police station, and they asked to come meet me. I thought, ‘What new mess have I landed in now?’ They told me not to worry, it’s a pleasant surprise. They told me that a lady had passed away, and that she had left her entire property in my name. I checked it out; she had buildings in South Bombay. The total property must’ve been worth Rs 150 crore. I said, ‘Listen, I don’t know the lady, but she must have been a fan. Still, I don’t have any right to her property’. I returned the property to her family, under the condition that it should be used properly. There are all kinds of fans.”

His lawyers got in touch with her family, and the property was transferred to them. She had reportedly made the arrangements prior to her passing, and had been in touch with the banks about it.

Sanjay Dutt can currently be seen as the villain in A Harsha’s Baaghi 4which was released in theatres last week. Starring Tiger Shroff, the action film has made only Rs 40 crore at the domestic box office so far, and trails all three of its predecessors. Baaghi 3 was released mere weeks before the pandemic-induced lockdown in 2020.
