During a recent Netflix show, Dining With The Kapoors, Kareena Kapoor brushed aside the question about Kapoor family members calling paparazzi for spottings. However, this proved wrong when a video recently went viral, in which frustrated photographers can be seen questioning Ranbir Kapoor’s team for stopping them from clicking photos of the star despite the actor’s team called them to click him.
Photographers gets angry with Ranbir’s team
Recently, Ranbir visited filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali at his Mumbai office as the shooting of their upcoming film Love And War is in process. As Ranbir’s car stopped, the paparazzi were seen waiting to capture the actor. Meanwhile, his bodyguard and security personnel were seen asking them to move aside as the gate seemed to be closing on their faces. This made them frustrated, and one of them can be heard saying, “Hey brother, I have called…what are you doing? Are we sending messages to everyone? What are you doing?. (We have been called here. What are you doing. We all got a message about the same).” However, after this exchange, Ranbir posed for the photographers for a minute and then went inside.
This video has come to light after the show Dining With The Kapoors released on Netflix. During the show, Karisma Kapoor and Kareena were asked, “Which Kapoor tips off the paparazzi.” To this, Karisma Kapoor mentioned, “All the Kapoors love the paparazzi.” However, Kareena dismissed the question and said, “I don’t think we need to tip off the paparazzi. In fact, we tip them not to click us. We don’t want to be clicked.”

Fans reacted to the contrast in the Kapoors’ take on paparazzi. A fan wrote, “Dude it’s so brutal to call people and then not give pictures.” Another fan wrote, “His biggest pr stunt was claiming that he has no pr.”
When Ranbir called PR ‘death of an actor’
In an old interaction with Times Now, Ranbir had said, “PR is the death of an actor. What happens is when you use PR the wrong way, you start believing it. People who plant articles about themselves or about other people, it becomes a very addictive game. And you start believing that my stardom is dependent only on how many times my face is featured on the cover of a magazine. I think PR is something you have to use intelligently, where your skills are concerned. You use PR intelligently when you’re really doing something. And if you don’t believe in something… if I’m going to a charity event for a PR thing, the audience sees through it. If you don’t believe in something, they’ll always see through you.”
When Karan Johar said Ranbir has no PR team
In an old interaction with Mid-Day, Karan Johar had claimed that Ranbir doesn’t have managers or a PR team. He said, “He (Ranbir) does one film at a time, he handles his own dates. There is no PR, there is no manager, there is nobody around him. He is on his own. You ask him for dates, he opens his phone, he has all his own dates, he knows exactly which plans he’s doing, he knows his schedule, he knows his days off, he knows his holidays.”
