Huma Qureshi lauds rumoured fiance Rachit Singh for debut role in Thamma: ‘The boy from Banaras who came to Mumbai with nothing’ | Bollywood News


The latest addition to the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, Thamma, is currently dominating the Hindi box office. The Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer is inching closer to the Rs 50 crore mark. In addition to its lead cast, the film also marks the debut of actor Rachit Singh, who is rumoured to be engaged to Huma Qureshi. Huma took to social media to congratulate Rachit on the achievement.

Huma shared a still of Rachit Singh from Thamma on her Instagram Stories. Along with it, she wrote, “For a boy from Banaras who came to Mumbai with nothing and knowing no one… So proud of you and this journey you have been on. Toiled for 10 years as an acting coach…learning, teaching, unlearning and building a community around you.”

She continued, “And today is the first time you will be seen on the big screen in Thamma. One of the biggest films of the year. Just a testament to your hard work and resilience… This is just the first blood. Much more to follow. Higher and higher always.”

Huma Qureshi was right about Rachit Singh building a community around him. The debutant received congratulatory messages from several people on social media, including fellow actors, friends, and family. He later reposted these stories on his account.

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the cast of Thamma includes Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Janardan Kadam, Paresh Rawal, and Geeta Agrawal Sharma.
