Farah Khan has always kept her personal life private and fans have rarely seen her family on camera. However, when the filmmaker started her YouTube vlogging venture, her mother-in-law Geetanjali Kunder, Sirish Kunder’s mother, appeared as a guest in a video. In the clip, Farah welcomed her mother-in-law and made her cook Mangalorean fish curry for her. She also joked about tolerating her husband Sirish and never complaining.
While welcoming her mother-in-law in the house, Farah greeted her by touching her feet. “That’s second time in the last six months,” she laughed. “If you’ll come everyday, then I can’t touch daily, right. I will touch it when the camera is on us,” Farah joked and added, “Abhi ek hi maa bachi hai mere paas. I have to touch her feet everytime (I have only one mother left).” She also said that while they invited her over for lunch at their house, but she will have to cook the food.
Then, Farah Khan’s mother-in-law asked Dilip to hand her more ingredients to make the fish curry. The filmmaker instantly complained, “Mangalorean fish curry? You never made that for me, it has been 20 years since our marriage.”
“Bahu khilaati hai saas ko (The daughter-in-law feeds her mother-in-law). Why does a mother in law bring her bahu home? To cook food in the house,” Geetanjali replied.

“A daughter-in-law is not for making food. One should know how to cook their own food,” Geetanjali said. Her MIL then started cooking fish curry with Dilip's help in the kitchen.
When Farah and Geetanjali were standing together in the kitchen, the former mentioned, “Saas and bahu ko saath mein kitchen mein nahi aana chahiye (Daughter-in-law and mother-in-law shouldn’t stand together in the kitchen),” and the latter instantly agreed with her. “That’s why, you make the food, I’ll go and drink lime water outside,” Farah joked.

The Main Hoon Na director also mentioned that no matter how good or bad the taste is, viewers won’t know about it. “Tumhaara beta kharaab tha, mai bol hi rahi hu na acha hai (Your son is bad but I still say he is goos),” she said. “Kharaab hi bolti ho tum mere bete ko (You only say that he is bad),” her mother-in-law quipped.
Earlier, on the cooking based reality show Celebrity MasterChef, Farah Khan made a revelation about her mother-in-law's cooking in an episode. “Meri saas ne mujhe aaj tak kuch nahi khilaya hai (My mother-in-law has not fed me anything to date). She gets food for her son. Now she will watch this episode and call me and say, 'Tereko mera khana achha. It doesn't feel good that's why I don't eat it',” she shared.
Farah and Sirish got married in 2004, and got blessed with triplets in 2008 – son Czar and daughters Diva and Anya.
