Shah Rukh Khan recently visited Dubai to launch a commercial tower named after him. At an event to mark that occasion, over 6,000 fans gathered at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City to catch a glimpse of the star. “It feels like a concert out here,” said Shah Rukh, as he entered the venue to loud cheers and a thundering applause.
Several videos of Shah Rukh interacting with his fans on the stage from the event have gone viral on social media. One of them shows him entering the venue as Anirudh Ravichander’s title track of Atlee’s 2023 blockbuster action thriller Jawan plays in the background. Shah Rukh greeted his fans with adabs as he entered the stage.
Shah Rukh Khan also recited his popular dialogue from Farah Khan’s 2007 blockbuster reincarnation saga Om Shanti Om: “I have tried so hard to understand you, that every fiber of my being has conspired to unite you.” The audience cheered for him loudly. Shah Rukh also acknowledged that Farah was also present on the stage alongside him, since she was hosting the real estate event.
Farah Khan was all praise for Shah Rukh Khan’s kids Aryan Khan and Suhana Khan at the event. “Shah Rukh’s son Aryan has made the most kick-a** web series, The Ba***ds of Bollywood. Suhana is so hardworking. She is now going to be in King. I know that you are training her in action,” Farah said as Shah Rukh nodded.
Shah Rukh also shook a leg at the event as he danced to “Jhoome Jo Pathaan,” the title track of his 2023 blockbuster spy thriller Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand. Interestingly, Shah Rukh is all set to reunite with Siddharth for his next action thriller, King, which is slated to release in cinemas next year.

King also stars Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Abhay Verma, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Raghav Juyal, among others. While Abhishek Bachchan plays the chief antagonist, Shah Rukh will be seen in a more age-appropriate role in the film. Produced by his and wife Gauri Khan’s banner Red Chillies Entertainment, it’s written by Sujoy Ghosh. The first look teaser of King was unveiled on the occasion of Shah Rukh’s 60th birthday last month.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh also dropped some signature pearls of wisdom at the Dubai event. “If you want to change something in life, whether it’s monetary, emotional, happiness, you have to work hard for it. Give it the best you’ve got,” he addressed his fans on the stage. “I’m a big believer in God just a free being in Allah. And I feel free. I want everyone who prays for me to pray well — not because I want it, but because this journey has been pure hard work. That’s the real theme of my life: hard work,” he added.
