Farah Khan, who has recently won a new fan base with her YouTube vlogs, recently appeared as a guest on Twinkle Khanna and Kajol’s Amazon Prime talk show, Two Much With Twinkle Khanna And Kajol. Known as one of Bollywood’s most accomplished choreographers, Farah has created some of the most memorable musical sequences in Indian cinema and is equally infamous for pushing actors to their limits, sometimes to tears. Ananya Panday, who accompanied Farah to the show, recounted one such moment when she was left in tears on set because of the veteran choreographer.

“Whichever heroine I push to tears, they become big stars,” Farah proudly claimed as Ananya recalled that she cried on the sets of Pati Patni Aur Woh. Twinkle Khanna, quick to interject, replied, “You made me cry, I never became a big star.” Farah, with her trademark wit, shot back, “Because you didn’t cry, you made me cry.” Twinkle laughed, agreeing, “I made you cry, and you became a big star.” “Exactly, you did the opposite,” Farah acknowledged, nodding. Twinkle then added with mock seriousness, “All your YouTube glory is because of me.” “All because of you,” Farah agreed with a smile.

The conversation traced back to Farah’s choreography for Ananya Panday in the film Pati Patni Aur Woh, which also starred Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar. Farah recalled, “I shot one song for Pati Patni Aur Woh where I made her cry. I mean, I have choreographed both of you all (Kajol and Twinkle), you all were too good, but I had Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday doing ‘Ankhiyon Se Goli Maare.’ And by the end of it, they were dancing, and I said, ‘Both of you need IV drips, one from Nanavati Hospital and one from Lilavati Hospital.’”
Ananya reflected on the experience, adding, “I thought I had grown up in front of her, she would be very nice to me. So I was fully confident. But then I left the set in tears.”
The talk show also touched on a more serious note, as Farah recounted an uncomfortable incident with a director who made advances toward her while she was working on his film. “He came into my room to discuss a song or something while I was in bed, and he sat next to me. I had to kick him from there,” Farah revealed. Twinkle, who was present during the incident, corroborated the story: “He was after her, no matter what. She had to physically kick him. This happened. I was the witness.”
