Santragachi-Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express launch: A new Amrit Bharat Express connecting Kolkata and New Delhi will commence its inaugural run today. The train will connect key industrial, cultural and administrative centres across West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh with Delhi, strengthening long-distance mobility on one of the country’s busiest corridors (Howrah-Delhi).

During commercial operations, the train will run between Howrah and Anand Vihar Terminal (ANVT), completing the 1,452-km journey in 27 hours 40 minutes.

During its inaugural journey on January 18, the Howrah-Ananad Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Sleeper Express is operating as train number 03065running between Santragachi and ANVT on its inaugural run on Sso. The train will run via Bandel, Dhanbad, Sasaram, Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Lucknow, Moradabad, Hapur.

On Sunday (January 18), train number 03065 Santragachi-Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express inaugural special will stop at 26 stations. These are: Howrah, Bandel, Barddhaman, Durgapur, Asansol, Dhanbad, NSC Bose J Gomo, Parasnath, Koderma, Gaya, Anugrah Narayan Road, Dehri-on-Son, Sasaram, Bhabua Road, Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Varanasi, Jaunpur City, Sultanpur, Nihalgarh, Lucknow, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Gajraula, Hapur and Ghaziabad.

Santragachi-Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat train inaugural special: Time table

On Sunday, January 18, train number 03065, the Santragachi–Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express inaugural special, will depart from Santragachi at 14:45 hrs. It will arrive at Howrah at 15:35 hrs and Bandel at 16:35 hrs, before reaching Anand Vihar Terminal (ANVT) at 21:30 hrs the following day.

Significance of Howrah-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat train

The route passes close to several of India’s most famous tourist and pilgrimage destinations. These include Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the most sacred shrines in the country, Mahabodhi Temple, Heritage Site associated with the life of Lord Buddha, Lucknow, known for its Nawabi heritage, and Delhi, home to iconic monuments such as the Red Fort and Qutub Minar.

By linking major pilgrimage centres, heritage cities and economic hubs with the national capital, the Kolkata (Howrah)-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express is expected to boost tourism, facilitate trade and support small businesses.
