Dense fog grips North India: Poor visibility hits rail traffic; Vande Bharat, Rajdhani among trains delayed by hours | India News


Fog in North India, Train late news: Several long-distance trains, including premium services such as the Vande Bharat Express and Rajdhani Express, are running behind schedule by over eight hours due to dense fog across North India. On Tuesday, India’s first Rajdhani Express operating between Howrah and New Delhi (which departed from Howrah Junction on December 22) arrived in the national capital at 20:19 hrsmore than 10 hours and 30 minutes late against its scheduled arrival time of 10:05 hrs.

Train late due to fog

On the other hand, train number 20503 Dibrugarh–New Delhi Rajdhani Express, which departed from Dibrugarh at 19:55 hrs on December 21, was scheduled to arrive in New Delhi at 13:38 hrs on December 23. However, as per the National Train Enquiry System (NTES), the train had not reached the national capital till 22:02 hrs and was running late by 3 hours and 29 minutes.

Train No. 22469 Khajuraho–Hazrat Nizamuddin Vande Bharat Express commenced its journey today from Khajuraho at 17:35 hrs instead of the scheduled 14:50 hrs, running late by around three hours. As per the National Train Enquiry System (NTES), the train is now expected to reach the national capital at 01:38 hrs, instead of its scheduled arrival time of 23:10 hrs.

  • Train number BBS-New Delhi Rajdhani Express
  • Train number 22361 RJPB-NDLS Amrit Bharat Express
  • Train number 15133 Chhapra-ANVT Amrit Bharat Express

Thus, passengers are advised to check the latest train schedules on the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) before commencing their journey from home.
