Satish Shah's prayer meet: Shatrughan Sinha, Johnny Lever, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai co-stars gather to honor actor's memory. bollywood news

Two days after the passing of veteran actor Satish Shah, the entire Bollywood and television fraternity gathered under one roof to pay heartfelt tribute to the legendary performer. A prayer meet was held at Jalaram Hall in Juhu, Mumbai, where his colleagues, and friends came together to honour the actor’s remarkable life and career.

The event witnessed the presence of several renowned filmmakers and actors including Rakesh Roshan, David Dhawan, Shatrughan Sinha, Johnny Lever, Poonam Dhillon, and Padmini Kolhapure. Singers Sonu Nigam and Sarabhai vs Sarabhai co-stars Rupali Ganguly and Sumeet Raghavan also attended the meet, visibly emotional as they remembered their beloved “Indravadan Sarabhai”.

Speaking to the media gathered outside, actor-producer JD Majethia said, “We have performed all the rituals, but we want to celebrate Satish ji’s life. The songs he used to sing, we are singing those very songs today to celebrate his memory. Satish Shah always wanted us to remember him the way he lived — with joy and laughter.”

While he was a beloved figure on television, Satish Shah also enjoyed a prolific film career spanning decades. From Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro to Main Hoon Na, he left an indelible mark on Indian cinema with his impeccable comic timing and charm. He also appeared in cult horror films by the Ramsay Brothers.

Satish Shah is survived by his wife Madhu Shah.
