Govinda says he has ‘forgiven’ wife Sunita for her mistakes, calls her a ‘child’: ‘She says things that she shouldn’t’ | Bollywood News

Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, recently made headlines after reports surfaced claiming that the couple was heading for divorce. However, the two refuted all such rumours and soon made a public appearance together. Now, in a recent interaction on the show Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, Govinda opened up about his wife, calling her “the child of the family,” and revealed that he has “forgiven” her many times over the years.

Speaking fondly of Sunita, Govinda said, “She is a child herself. My children handle my wife as if she’s a child. Sunita is like a kid, but the responsibilities that she was given, she could manage our household only because she is what she is. She is an honest child. Her words are never wrong. It is just that she says things that she shouldn’t.” Govinda also admitted that at times, he struggles to understand things from Sunita’s point of view. “The problem with men is that they can’t think on those lines. I always believe that man runs the house but women run the whole world,” he added.

When asked whether Sunita ever corrects his mistakes, Govinda responded, “She has herself made so many mistakes… I have forgiven her and the entire family so many times.” He then added, “Sometimes, according to me, we rely too much on them. Specially if your mother is not with you, so you rely too much on your wife. And as time passes, she starts scolding you like a mother, she explains also like a mother. They don’t realise it, but we see it. We can see how they have changed now and how they were when they were young.”

Amid ongoing divorce rumours, Govinda and Sunita were spotted together during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in August. Addressing the speculations, Sunita slammed trolls and clarified their bond, saying, “Today it's so close, so close… Agar kuch hota toh hum toh nezdeek hote? Humaari dooriyan hoti! We cannot separate the two, whether someone comes from above, God comes, or the devil comes. no one can separate (If something had happened between us, would we be so close today? There would have been distance between us. No one can separate us, not even if God or a devil comes down).”

Earlier, in her vlog, Sunita visited Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Temple. While speaking to a priest, she broke into tears hinted at Govinda’s infedility. “I have so much faith in the Goddess that whatever I am witnessing today, I know that whoever tries to break my home, Maa Kaali is there. It is not right to cause pain to a good man and a good woman. I love all the three forms of the Goddess deeply. Whatever the situation may be, anyone who tries to break my family, Maa will not forgive them,” she said.

Sunita in multiple interviews had hinted that she and Govinda live in separate houses. “We have two houses, we have a bungalow opposite our apartment. We live in the flat whereas he gets late after his meetings. He loves talking so he’ll gather 10 people and sit chatting with them. Whereas me, my son and my daughter live together,” she had told Hindi Rush.
