Gold Rate Today: The upcoming festive season in India is expected to drive demand for gold and silver jewellery, leading to price increases.

Last week, gold prices in India were steadily increasing, resulting in all purities of the yellow metal reaching record-high levels, with a nearly 4% increase, according to GoodReturns.

However, it dropped slightly today, ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s monetary policy decision.

Gold is considered an ideal inflation hedge, with 24-carat gold being the most expensive form of gold, and it is commonly used for investment purposes. In contrast, 22-carat gold and 18-carat gold are primarily utilised for jewellery.
